Max Schultze is a Lead Data Engineer currently working on building a Data Lake at Zalando, Europe's leading online platform for fashion. His focus lies on building data pipelines, at the scale of terabytes per day, and handling data governance and central storage management for the company’s cloud storage layer. At Zalando, he was also actively involved in productionizing Spark and Presto as analytical platforms. During his studies at Humboldt University of Berlin, he took part in the university's initial development of Apache Flink.
