New courses and updates from AWS Training and Certification in April 2022
Editor’s note: Below you’ll find descriptions of new Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training and Certification courses and offerings for cloud learners, AWS customers, and AWS Partners for April 2022. New digital offerings include fundamental and intermediate courses that focus on SAP, managing game workloads, designing blockchain solutions, Amazon Connect, AWS storage and databases, and evaluating migration scenarios. And if you’re interested in building a batch data analytics solution on AWS, there’s a new intermediate-level classroom course. Learn the fundamentals about running SAP on AWS
Are you a cloud architect who needs to understand the technical fundamentals of running SAP on AWS? This four-hour, digital course focuses on using SAP on AWS to meet performance targets; perform basic system operations for SAP on AWS, including backups, monitoring, and automated deployments; and make architectural decisions based on AWS-recommended best practices. Manage game workloads in containers on AWS

Explore Amazon Connect and its user interfaces
Are you a decision maker in contact-center operations or a technical professional who helps implement and maintain contact centers? These three, fundamental, sequenced digital courses explore Amazon Connect and its user interfaces, including agent and supervisor functionality. The courses are Introduction to Amazon Connect and the Connect Control Panel (CCP), which examines the benefits and functionality of Amazon Connect; Amazon Connect: Introduction to the Administrative Interface, and Amazon Connect: Creating and Managing Amazon Connect Instances. Building Batch Data Analytics Solutions on AWS
Do you need to operate and scale your big data environments by automating time-consuming tasks? This one-day, intermediate classroom course will help you understand how to build batch data analytics solutions using Amazon EMR, an enterprise-grade Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop managed service. This course is for data-platform engineers, architects, and data engineers who use Amazon EMR. Learn how Amazon EMR integrates with open-source projects, AWS Glue and AWS Lake Formation and how EMR Notebooks support both analytics and machine learning workloads. You will work with AWS services, as an AWS instructor guides you through how to design a batch analytics workflow. To take the classroom training, you should have at least one year of experience managing open-data frameworks, as well as AWS cloud experience. If you don’t have the latter experience, you can take either AWS Technical Essentials or Architecting on AWS. A prerequisite course for all attendees is Building Data Lakes on AWS. Update: AWS Certified: Advanced Networking – Specialty Exam
On June 14, 2022, registration opens for the new version of the AWS Certified: Advanced Networking – Specialty (AN-S) exam, and the first day to take this exam is July 12, 2022. This certification validates expertise in designing and maintaining network architecture for the breadth of AWS services, enabling learners to showcase their knowledge and skills, enhance their credibility with employers, and inspire customer confidence and trust. If you are preparing for the current exam version, please take the exam by July 11, 2022.
