BLD3102 | Autodesk Construction Cloud and Amazon: Using APS and AWS to Manage a Project Portfolio at Scale
This session is a high-level strategy road map of how companies with a large project portfolio can use Autodesk Construction Cloud to take pragmatic steps within the Autodesk Construction Cloud user interface to benefit both in the short term and long term. We'll use real-world examples using Amazon Transportation Engineering Services (TES) as a case study. We'll work through the practical planning of using cornerstone Autodesk Construction Cloud features such as Issues and Forms, and we'll look at how building on the use of these features can lead to powerful QuickSight dashboards, and, later, robust machine learning. The presentation will be broken down into three categories: 1) The Foundation: using out-of-the-box Autodesk Construction Cloud features with specific use cases; 2) The Frame: building automations and integrations to aid in manual efforts (with a focus on Autodesk Platform Services); and 3) The Roof: advanced machine learning and AI using Amazon Web Services (AWS). For each of these categories, we'll investigate the appropriate tools available in our toolbox (Autodesk Platform Services and AWS).

SD3284 | 3D Design Reviews On-Demand with VRED and AWS
This session will share details of a project called the VRED Session Management Service (VRED SMS). A prototype built by solutions engineers working together from Autodesk and Amazon Web Services (AWS), VRED SMS demonstrates how VRED 3D visualization software from Autodesk can be deployed and scaled on AWS in an on-demand way. VRED SMS allows applications that can interface a REST API to request a VRED collaboration session. Automated workflows execute to prepare the requisite instances and VRED configuration for a requested VRED scene file. This solution comprises a variety of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2 Image Builder, AWS Step Functions, AWS Systems Manager, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon API Gateway. It is also deployed using AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK). To automate the configuration of Autodesk’s VRED software, this solution uses its Python and web APIs. The programmatic and workflow-driven nature of the solution makes it relatively simple to customize.

MFG5176 | " Revolutionizing the Product Design Lifecycle with Generative AI"
Learn how generative AI can revolutionize product engineering and lifecycle management. The session will focus on key challenges in the manufacturing product lifecycle such as the reliance on 2D drawings and PDFs, the time-consuming nature of model creation and analysis, and the complexity of assembly modeling. We’ll discuss how generative AI can address these challenges by transforming engineering workflows and enhancing efficiency, the impact of generative AI (powered on Amazon Bedrock) on the manufacturing lifecycle, with a focus on practical applications. We’ll explore Autodesk Fusion 360 and showcase the potential of integrating a chatbot or plugin within Fusion that can assist designers in rapidly building models and accelerating the design process.

AS2509 | Understanding Visibility Graphic Settings: Winning the Game of Hide and Seek with Revit
Finding it tough to uncover the elements you want to see in Revit software? So much time is spent finding elements in your views that it can affect your ability to get work done. Through examples of common visibility problems, we can uncover the typical problems in a given view. This course will take you through the Revit Graphics hierarchy to explain the ways you can find and uncover elements throughout your model in a systematic way. Learn ways to uncover visibility issues in your model and change the behavior of the model editors and consultants for best-practice results. Understand how work sets, filters, line styles, view templates, links, and computer hardware like graphics cards can all make a difference in adjusting your model appearance. You will walk away from this course with the knowledge of how to adjust your views to see what you want with the minimal amount of troubleshooting required to save time, effort, and sanity.

BLD2505 | Managing Successful Delivery for Mission-Critical Projects
Over the last few years, as we build toward a more resilient future, there’s been a tremendous increase in the demand for renewable power, ports of entry, infrastructure, logistics facilities, and manufacturing. However, as the projects have grown in scope, so has the owners’ need to receive a higher standard of work from architects, engineers, and builders. This session will address the importance of data governance in mission-critical projects and how it can lead to successful project delivery. We'll understand what owners expect for delivery from traditional and innovative formats like digital docs and signed-off model content. We’ll also discover what it takes to meet delivery expectations when the owner specifies a deliverable but doesn’t necessarily know the exact outcome. If you want to know what it takes to deliver successfully with lessons learned in the trenches, then join this session!

BLD1598 | Challenges and Solutions: Adopting Autodesk Construction Cloud for Multibillion-Dollar Semiconductor Fabrication Plants
In 2022, Samsung Electronics initiated its journey to cloud adoption by choosing and examining Autodesk Construction Cloud for its multibillion-dollar fabrication facility (FAB) construction projects with assistance from Autodesk. During this transition, it was critical that the company adhere to national security regulations, and guide internal users to shift their preferences from 2D to 3D workflows. In this session, the team will share how it has ensured a secure project environment around Autodesk Construction Cloud using Amazon Web Service (AWS) and a third-party identity provider to comply with security regulations. Additionally, the session will give an overview of a custom solution—created by Autodesk Consulting built on top of Autodesk Platform Services—that enhanced the 3D collaboration efficiency. This session will provide a wealth of knowledge and overview of Samsung Electronics’ multiyear endeavor in adopting Autodesk cloud platforms for its semiconductor fabrication plant construction projects.
