In this session, we look back at the last 15 years of how Israeli customers have been leveraging and shaping the services that AWS launches. We expound on the evolution of AWS infrastructure in Israel over the past years and some of the initiatives aimed to address the challenges associated with rapid innovation. We will go behind the scenes to show how AWS is building the upcoming region in Israel and how AWS builds global infrastructure. We then dive deep to learn about the silicon and software that runs inside AWS data centers and talk about how AWS reinvented silicon design and hypervisor technology with the AWS Nitro System, which is powering the AWS instances.

    Time: 13:50 - 14:30
    Level: Advanced
    Location: Hall B - Pavilion 2
    Session ID: MAD302

How do you avoid DDoSing other systems or running out of resources when developing modern applications?
Modern applications development brings new challenges with their architecture and scaling capabilities. In a perfect world, this should be an advantage only, but we all know, by now, that the world ain't perfect. Integrating modern applications with other systems (such as legacy systems, external resources, APIs, etc.) is a challenge you should take into account and plan accordingly.
This session will focus on why rate limiting is so important in modern systems and how you should design a better system that operates as a better neighbor to all systems around it.

    Liel Ran - CTO & Co-Founder, DoControl

SaaS architecture patterns: From concept to implementation

    Time: 14:40 - 15:20
    Level:
    Advanced
    Location:
    Hall B - Pavilion 2
    Session ID: MAD303

SaaS architecture varies across domains, stacks, and customer requirements. However, there are well-defined patterns that must be addressed by SaaS solutions. Identity, onboarding, tenant isolation, data partitioning, tiering—these are among the patterns that, while implemented differently on AWS stacks and services, are core to most SaaS solutions. In this session, take a detailed dive into the landscape of these SaaS patterns. For each one, we’ll move from concept to implementation, looking at the permutations of architecture and code that are used to bring these patterns to life with different compute, storage, identity, networking, and management constructs.
