Who should attend AWS Summit Toronto?
AWS Summit Toronto is ideal for developers, engineers, system administrators, systems architects, and IT and business executives. Session content will accommodate all levels of familiarity from beginners (level 100) to expert (level 400). Attendees can choose between lecture-style presentations, interactive learning guided by AWS experts, customer keynotes, white-boarding sessions, an expo hall, and much more.

When and where is AWS Summit Toronto?
The event will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre - South Building, in Toronto, Canada on June 14, 2023. You can view the agenda and session catalog here.

Is there a price to attend?
No. Registration is complimentary for this event and includes access to meals, expo hall, keynote, sessions, and receptions.

Do you offer continuing education credits to attendees or a certificate of attendance?
AWS Summit Toronto does not offer continuing or professional education credits nor does AWS offer a certificate of attendance. Attendees can participate in Training & Certification sessions onsite, but please note credits will not be awarded.

What is the dress code for attendees?
There is no dress code for attendees. Attendee attire varies from business casual, suits, hoodies and jeans. Please wear what you are comfortable in.

Is there an age requirement to attend AWS Summit Toronto?
Yes. All attendees must be at least 18 years of age on the day they pick up their conference badge.

What is the AWS Code of Conduct?
Please see here for the AWS Code of Conduct. All attendees must comply with the Code of Conduct.

Are lactation rooms available?
Yes. Lactation rooms are designed to provide a private, secure space for lactating attendees to express milk. The spaces are equipped with lockers, cold packs, wipes, and comfy chairs.

When and where is the bag check?
Bag check will be open Tuesday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Thursday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM and is located on Level 600 near badge pickup.

What do I need for event check-in?
Please be prepared to show a physical copy of your valid, government-issued ID. The name on your ID must match your registered name.

How can I add my preferred name to my badge?
If you have registered with a different name than the one on your ID, please head directly to the Help Desk to pick up your badge.

Do I need my badge for every event function?
Yes. You are required to wear your valid conference badge and lanyard for all sessions and activities.

What is the AWS policy regarding conference badges and lanyards?
During badge pickup, each registered attendee will receive a conference badge and lanyard that is associated with their event account. This badge and lanyard must be worn and visible at all times while in designated event spaces. Company-branded or non-conference lanyards are not permitted in place of the conference lanyard.
Attendees must wear their own badge and lanyard and cannot share or exchange their own badge or lanyard with others. Violation of this policy may result in an immediate and permanent ban from this and future AWS events. You can find the AWS Code of Conduct at aws.amazon.com/codeofconduct/

How can I get to AWS Summit Toronto?
The Metro Toronto Convention Centre - South Building is centrally located in downtown Toronto at 222 Bremner Boulevard, Toronto, ON with easy access by transit, car or walking. The Convention Centre is served by 2 major airports (Toronto Pearson International and Billy Bishop). For local residents, multiple parking garages are located around the Convention Centre with hourly and daily rates. Additionally, the Convention Centre is accessible via an 8-minute walk from the Union Station subway exit. For additional information on various routes to the event, visit MTCCC.com

Can I get reimbursed by AWS for parking or travel costs?
No, AWS does not reimburse or validate for parking or other travel associated costs.

Is there a hotel to reserve for AWS Summits?
We don't have a dedicated block for this event, but you can review nearby hotels on the Destination Toronto tourism website.

Do you allow service animals?
Service animals are welcome at AWS Summit Toronto.
For guest hotel rooms, there are specific guidelines around service and support animals at each hotel property. Please connect directly with your hotel’s reservation desk or concierge prior to arriving for more information.

No. Badge holders are not required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
