Session content is set between 100 foundational and 400 expert level to accommodate all levels of familiarity. Attendees can choose between lecture-style presentations, interactive learning guided by AWS experts, customer keynotes, white-boarding sessions, an expo hall, and much more.

Q: Is there a fee to attend this event?
A: No, the AWS Summit Washington, DC is open to the public and free of charge to all attendees, including government employees. A: The event will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC on June 7-8, 2023. The agenda will be released on the website prior to the event.

Q: Is there a virtual component, and is the keynote livestreamed?
A: Yes, the keynote session on June 7 at 11:00AM - 12:15PM ET will be livestreamed. Please note, only the keynote will be livestreamed. All other sessions are only available in-person.

Q: How can I get to AWS Summit Washington, DC?
A: The Walter E. Washington Convention Center is centrally located in downtown Washington, DC. Locally, you can use metro, walk, or travel by car to the event.
Metro: The Convention Center sits atop the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station served by Metro's Green and Yellow lines. Alternatively, take the Red Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station which is a 5 minute walk from the Convention Center.

If you are not local to DC, you can travel to Washington, DC via plane, train, or car.
Plane: Washington, DC is served by three major airports (DCA, IAD and BWI), easily accessible to the city.
Train: Amtrak serves Washington, DC's Union Station and is connected to the DC Metro on the Red Line.
Driving directions: Follow the Google maps directions.
Parking: Multiple parking garages are located around the Convention Center with hourly and daily rates. To see a list of convenient parking garages visit the Events DC tourism website and click the map filter 'Parking' to find nearby parking.

A: No, AWS does not reimburse or validate for parking or other travel associated costs.

A: We don't have a dedicated block for this event, but we do have a list of locally curated lodging, travel, and food options from Destination DC.

Q: What is the dress code for attendees?
A: There is no dress code for attendees. Attendee attire varies from business casual, suits, hoodies and jeans. Please wear what you are comfortable in.

Q: Is there an age requirement to attend AWS Summit Washington, DC?
A: Yes. All attendees must be at least 18 years of age on the day they pick up their conference badge.

A: AWS Summit Washington, DC does not offer continuing or professional education credits nor does AWS offer a certificate of attendance. Attendees can participate in Training & Certification sessions onsite, but please note credits will not be awarded.

Q: Are lactation rooms available?
A: Yes. Lactation rooms are designed to provide a private, secure space for lactating attendees to express milk. The spaces are equipped with lockers, cold packs, wipes, and comfy chairs.

A: We'll have many services available at the Summit, including:
- ASL (American Sign Language)
- CART (Communication Access Real-time Translation)
- VI (Visual Interpretation)
- Mobility device rental
- Assistive listening

- Dispersed and designated seating

Q: Do you allow service animals?
A: Service animals are welcome at AWS Summit, Washington DC. There are designated relief areas for service and support animals on the property.
For guest hotel rooms, there are specific guidelines around service and support animals at each hotel property. Please connect directly with your hotel’s reservation desk or concierge prior to arriving for more information.
