3M Drives Innovation by Migrating Thousands of Applications to AWS

3M applies science in collaborative ways to improve daily lives. Using AWS Application Migration Service, 3M migrated thousands of workloads to AWS, accelerating its digital transformation and driving innovation.

3M uses science to improve lives and help solve the world’s toughest challenges by manufacturing industrial, safety, and consumer products. 3M migrated thousands of applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS), achieving scalability, resilience, and innovation that weren’t possible with its aging on-premises data centers.

With AWS Application Migration Service (CloudEndure Migration), 3M migrated a diverse set of workloads into multiple AWS Regions with minimal business downtime. Following the migration, 3M advanced its modernization process by moving some of its migrated workloads into Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) and implementing AWS Lambda capabilities.
