Brompton Bicycle Gears Up Production by 20% with RS Industria and AWS

UK-based manufacturer of folding bikes, Brompton Bicycles, manufactures about 100,000 bikes annually. But, it struggled to keep up with the high demand for its iconic product. With its engineers looking for ways to increase manufacturing capacity, Brompton turned to AWS Partner RS Industria to monitor key production assets to clear production bottlenecks. As a result of this smart manufacturing solution, Brompton increased its annual production capacity by 20,000 bikes with minimal capital investment.

Aston Martin Lagonda Drives Sales Increase with Data Reply Using AI on AWS

Aston Martin Lagonda (AML), a British manufacturer of ultra-luxury high-performance sports cars and sports utility vehicles (SUVs), increased customer engagement, provided dealer partners with better customer insights, and improved predictions by 85 percent using a propensity-to-buy model powered by artificial intelligence (AI) on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Previously, AML’s customer data had been siloed across systems, making it difficult to access and share. As part of a migration to a new Salesforce instance, data analytics firm Data Reply cleaned and integrated the data using AWS services. Working with Data Reply, AML has successfully restructured its data, establishing a global customer view crucial for international clients.

BJSS Powers Space Weather Forecasts for the Met Office on AWS

The UK’s Met Office does more than forecast weather on Earth—it does the same for space. This is because space weather events can have significant consequences for GPS, power networks, and other critical infrastructure. The office needs to work closely with forecasting centers in the US and Australia, and with academic partners. Migrating its mix of on-premises and hosted servers to Amazon Web Services (AWS) made it easier for these partners to access Met Office test environments and data. The migration was made possible with the help of AWS Partner BJSS. The service also provides high levels of resilience—critical for a system that must operate in times of crisis.

Center Parcs, a leading holiday operator in the UK and Ireland, sought to enhance its data management and analytics capabilities to better serve more than two million annual guests. Struggling with fragmented data and delayed processing, the company engaged with AWS Partner Firemind. Firemind implemented a robust data lake architecture on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that enabled real-time data integration and advanced analytics. This enhanced Center Parcs’ operational efficiency and laid the foundation for future innovations, including personalized guest experiences driven by machine learning.

BT Group Reduces Deployment Time from Days to 10 Minutes with HashiCorp and AWS

BT Group, a British multinational telecommunications company, needed to close one of its large on-premises data centers within a year. The company chose to migrate 70 applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) using AWS Partner HashiCorp. BT Group used the comprehensive suite of HashiCorp tools with AWS services to establish a reliable hybrid on-premises and cloud environment. Ultimately, the migration resulted in reduced deployment times from days to just 10 minutes, with over 90 percent of deployment tasks now automated. BT Group saw significant cost savings and enhanced scalability, while ensuring uninterrupted TV services for customers.
