AWS CloudFormation has expanded the availability of StackSets to Japan (Osaka region). StackSets is a CloudFormation feature that allows you to centrally manage deployment of cloud resources to multiple AWS accounts and Regions in a single operation. StackSets is also integrated with AWS Organizations so you can take advantage of automatic deployments whenever an account enters an organization.
Using StackSets, you can extend the functionality of CloudFormation by centrally creating, updating, or deleting CloudFormation-supported resources across multiple AWS accounts and Regions. For example, you can provision Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances across your AWS accounts in multiple regions in a single operation.
With this additional regional launch, StackSets is now available in US East (Ohio, N. Virginia), US West (N. California, Oregon), Africa (Cape Town), Asia Pacific (Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Seoul, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Osaka), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Milan, Paris), Middle East (Bahrain), and South America (Sao Paulo), both the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions. StackSets with only self-managed permissions is available in AWS China (Beijing) region, operated by Sinnet, and AWS China (Ningxia) region, operated by NWCD.
