Saudi Arabia’s bottled water market is highly competitive, and as the country becomes more digital, Saudi consumers are turning to ecommerce for their everyday needs. Nova Water, a leading Saudi bottled water brand, needed to transform its digital presence and accelerate online sales to stay ahead of the competition. About Nova Water
Nova Water, a leading bottled water brand in Saudi Arabia, is committed to delivering premium hydration solutions across the country while embracing digital innovation to enhance the customer experience.
Opportunity | Identifying growth opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s digital market
Nova Water’s rapid ecommerce growth created opportunities that called for stronger digital capabilities. To meet customer expectations, Nova Water needed a high-performance, scalable ecommerce solution that could capture near real-time customer insights, optimize inventory management, and deliver a seamless omnichannel experience.
To support its growth goals, Nova Water selected AWS, owing to its robust, scalable cloud infrastructure and AI-driven solutions. AWS offered the reliability and performance capabilities necessary to accelerate online sales—alongside advanced analytics and automation tools.
Solution | Building an AI-powered ecommerce solution using AWS
Nova Water developed a next-generation AI-powered ecommerce solution, delivering an intelligent, scalable, and seamless online shopping experience. The solution was built using AWS managed services, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), a fully managed Kubernetes service, for seamless scalability and operational efficiency, and Amazon Aurora Serverless—an on-demand, autoscaling configuration for Amazon Aurora—for AI-driven inventory management. With comprehensive AI capabilities from AWS, Nova Water implemented sophisticated customer personalization and predictive analytics that would have been complex and costly to develop independently.
The solution also uses Amazon QuickSight, which provides unified business intelligence at scale, to gain near real-time insights into customer behavior and sales trends. AWS Lambda, used to run code without thinking about servers or clusters, powers the serverless, event-driven architecture that optimizes marketing automation and customer engagement.
Nova Water achieved higher online sales through optimized performance and AI-driven engagement strategies. The cloud-based infrastructure scaled effortlessly during peak demand periods while the serverless architecture reduced infrastructure costs and maintained high availability. With near real-time analytics, Nova Water can make critical decisions on optimizing inventory management, enhancing customer targeting, and quickly responding to market trends. AI-driven personalization and faster website performance also elevated customer satisfaction.
Outcome | Supporting Saudi Vision 2030 with digital transformation
Using AWS, Nova Water is poised for long-term ecommerce success. “AWS has empowered us to accelerate our digital transformation through innovative, scalable cloud solutions that drive efficiency and significant cost savings,” says Yamen Zarnaji, senior IT manager at Nova Water. “Using AWS, we’ve built a strategic road map that enhances agility, fosters innovation, and positions us for long-term success.” Its project exemplifies the forward-thinking approach that many businesses are taking to support Saudi Vision 2030—a reform program for building a thriving digital society. The company will continue to harness AWS to realize its ambitious growth goals.
