The Stakeholder Company (TSC), also known as TSC.ai, is a Singapore-based, globally operating Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) organization. It provides artificial intelligence (AI)-powered issue and stakeholder management software and intelligence. The company's fifth-generation platform, Genie, helps leaders in public affairs, government relations, corporate strategy, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), and business development better anticipate, strategize, and manage external risks and opportunities.
TSC primarily supports Fortune 500 companies and is expanding its presence among global Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and multilateral institutions such as the United Nations. The company was established to address a longstanding gap in how external-facing teams navigate increasingly volatile external environments. These challenges range from shifting geopolitical dynamics to intensifying competition and rapidly evolving innovation. In Q3 2024, TSC launched Genie to help users cut through external complexities and stay informed. The platform clarifies what is happening in their external environments, who is behind it, and how best to connect, engage, and influence them.
TSC turned to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power Genie with the infrastructure required to deliver timely and accurate AI-powered insights while maintaining secure workflows and protecting sensitive customer data.
About The Stakeholder Company
The Stakeholder Company (TSC), also known as TSC.ai, is a Singapore-based firm that provides stakeholder management and issue intelligence solutions for Fortune 500 companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and government organizations. The company's Genie platform helps external-facing teams engage stakeholders, manage risks, and identify opportunities in volatile environments. Established in 2011, the company has worked with over 75 clients across 15 industries in more than 95 countries.
Opportunity | Helping External-Facing Teams Navigate Stakeholder Complexity
Organizations today must manage a wide range of topics that are material to their license to operate. At the same time, they are encountering increasing scrutiny from diverse stakeholders. Organizations must monitor emerging issues and identify the right stakeholders to engage. This approach helps to mitigate risks and navigate shifting public expectations that may impact corporate reputation, regulatory compliance, and market access.
Furthermore, corporate leaders needed a more connected, near real-time method for managing external stakeholder environments at scale. Many external-facing teams still relied on static tools such as spreadsheets, siloed systems, and legacy customer relationship management (CRMs) platforms.
TSC developed Genie as an end-to-end software suite capable of horizon scanning, media monitoring, stakeholder intelligence, mapping and engagement management, and reporting. This uniquely links a proprietary dataset of millions of stakeholders—including government decision-makers, industry players, civil society, activists—with real-time external signals. These signals come from media, socials, academic publications, government, and web data. This integrated approach helps teams become more proactive, informed, and coordinated in how they manage external stakeholder dynamics.
The company recognized that users would benefit from more timely and tailored issue and stakeholder intelligence. Its latest development—part of the fifth-generation platform Genie—helps users generate actionable and hyper-contextual insights through direct prompting and intelligent, automated alerts. Genie generates these insights by contextually cross-referencing thousands of daily signals with its proprietary stakeholder database, users' documented engagements and notes, and corporate or domain-specific information.
With AWS supporting this phase of transformation, TSC focused on retaining a compliant, scalable, cloud-based foundation. It also embedded generative AI securely, without exposing sensitive client data. Through this collaboration, the company also reduced its infrastructure-related overhead, freeing internal teams for product development and innovation.
Solution | Delivering Secure Gen AI and Scalable Analytics Using AWS
To support Genie's next phase, TSC needed to strengthen three core capabilities. These included enterprise-grade security to protect sensitive client information; timely and tailored insights with data privacy safeguards; and advanced visualization tools for navigating large volumes of structured and unstructured data. TSC used AWS to meet these requirements with scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
TSC's Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM) system supports clients in managing highly sensitive engagement data, from regulatory briefings to diplomatic meeting notes. To meet enterprise-grade data protection standards, TSC deployed AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS), a cryptographic key management service, to encrypt stakeholder data. With AWS KMS, all stakeholder records are protected, in line with regional and global compliance frameworks. Since its implementation, TSC has experienced zero reported data breaches and achieved a 75 percent reduction in manual security oversight.
To embed generative AI capabilities while maintaining strict data privacy, the company used Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that provides secure access to Large Language Models without exposing client data to model providers or third-party training. Genie connects structured stakeholder profiles, near real-time signals, and documentation from both public sources and sensitive client-owned data. With this context, the platform generates tailored recommendations, such as which stakeholders to engage and how to respond to emerging risks or immediate crises.
For advanced stakeholder reporting and data visualization, TSC utilized Amazon QuickSight, a serverless business intelligence service. With this, clients can create tailored visualizations of stakeholder engagement, campaign performance, and media intelligence. Amazon QuickSight's flexibility also lets users explore raw data while benefiting from scalable, easy-to-maintain dashboards.
TSC implemented AWS services at key layers of Genie to support secure, compliant, scalable, and context-aware delivery of tailored intelligence. The platform's pay-per-session pricing model and automated data integration features have helped reduce analytics costs by 30 percent. The company has saved about 30 hours per month in internal operations through increased automation. TSC has also reported a 25 percent reduction in cloud infrastructure costs compared to earlier AI deployments.
Outcome | Shaping the Future of High-Stakes Engagement
TSC will continue to expand the capabilities of its Genie platform to meet the evolving needs of global enterprises. The company is exploring additional AI use cases to support more proactive and context-aware insights and to develop tailored solutions that reflect the unique stakeholder dynamics of different sectors.
“We’re focused on helping organizations connect the dots in increasingly volatile and complex external environments. That might mean responding to ESG concerns, engaging policymakers, or identifying strategic business opportunities. By working with AWS, we can deliver tailored intelligence at scale, securely and responsibly, while keeping our clients' data confidential,” said Terence Lyons, Chief Executive Officer at TSC.
