Built and run entirely on Amazon Web Services (AWS), startup Get My Parking is providing a simple and scalable solution for busy parking operators, allowing them to streamline their critical processes. It only takes a parking gate wait time of 400 milliseconds to result in traffic forming, so speed is critical for Get My Parking. By running its stack on AWS, Get My Parking delivers high uptime and low-latency performance, boosting its overall user experience.

With AWS, Get My Parking has been able to build the right degree of security and compliance into its platform, ensuring the solution meets ISO 27001 and PCI DSS standards for its global customers.

Protecting applications and safeguarding customer data are critical considerations for many businesses. AWS is supporting these efforts with services such as AWS Identity and Access Management to help manage user permissions, and AWS Key Management Service to enable encryption of sensitive information. Get My Parking’s next goal is to transform this traditionally hardware-heavy industry with AI-powered solutions, including computer vision-powered license plate recognition and AI-agent issue resolution. “We build a lot of custom models ourselves, because we are in such a niche industry, so there's nothing available off shelf,” explains Rajesh Prabhu, CTO of Get My Parking. “So we build our machine learning computer vision models ourselves. And 100% of those models are powered by AWS.”

AWS is enabling startups like Get My Parking to build and develop AI-driven capabilities such as AI assistants, and to deploy them at scale. Amazon Bedrock, for instance, provides access to hundreds of foundation models to power AI agents, while Amazon SageMaker offers tools for training, tuning, and deploying custom machine learning models.

Going forward, Get My Parking is continuing to expand into new markets and deepen its collaboration with AWS through its next stage of AI innovation. “We want to rely on AWS, while also leveraging our strength, which is our understanding of the parking business,” says Prabhu. “We’re going to be deepening that partnership and expanding our platform, enriching our solution for the benefit of our customers.”
