New York Summit

Whether you are new to the cloud or an experienced user, you will learn something new at the AWS Summit. This free event is designed to educate you about the AWS products, services, and solutions in the cloud and help you develop the skills to design, deploy, and operate infrastructure and applications. Sessions will be delivered by subject matter experts from AWS, our Partners, or our customers, who will share how they successfully built solutions on AWS.

This year we are offering 4 hour and 8 hour bootcamps. Bootcamps are training sessions that offer you a chance to learn about AWS services and solutions through immersive exercises and hands-on labs. Delivered by experienced AWS Instructors and Solution Architects, these bootcamps allow you to work directly with AWS knowledge experts to get your questions answered. For more information on bootcamps and the cost to register to attend on Monday, July 16, please go here.

Note: All students must bring their own laptop (Windows/OSX/Linux all supported)—tablets are not appropriate. We also recommend having the current version of Chrome or Firefox installed.

Attend one-hour breakout sessions led by AWS subject matter experts and/or top AWS customers. You’ll find introductory sessions, deep dive technical content, customer stories, and new launch announcements in these sessions.

Workshops engage attendees in a small-scale, hands-on session that provides a more tangible way to learn. These sessions are two hours long and are capped at about 80 attendees to maximize networking and learning opportunities.

Hands-on Labs help you evaluate and learn how to work with AWS solutions through step-by-step, self-paced instructions on an AWS Console in a live practice environment. Choose from 100+ lab topics that range in level from introductory to expert and take approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete. Registration is not required; walk-ups are welcome.

Chalk Talks are a short presentation designed to stimulate conversation and an open mic white boarding session following. The goal is to foster a technical discussion around real world architecture challenges. It’s a great opportunity to ask your questions of an AWS expert.

You don’t need hours of practice to pick up a new skill. These short-format, real-time demo sessions are a great way to get how-to instructions straight from the experts.

Team challenges are five-hour sessions where you work as a team to build solutions and solve problems.
