Video on Demand on AWS Now Features AWS Elemental MediaConvert

Posted on: Mar 8, 2018

The AWS Solutions team has updated Video on Demand on AWS, a solution that automatically provisions the services necessary to build a scalable, distributed video-on-demand workflow on AWS. The solution now leverages the broadcast-grade features of AWS Elemental MediaConvert to provide H.265 (HEVC) and H.264 (AVC) compression, two-pass encoding, and up to 4K resolution outputs. The solution is easy to deploy and provides an example architecture you can use to build a global consumer video workflow on AWS. You can customize the architecture to meet your specific needs.

The solution deploys AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, AWS Step Functions, AWS Elemental MediaConvert, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon SNS, and Amazon CloudFront. For pricing details, see the pricing webpage for each AWS service you will be using in this solution. To learn more about Video on Demand on AWS, see the solution webpage.
