To receive the AWS Competency designation, which showcases top APN Partners to customers, organizations must undergo rigorous technical validation. To help APN Technology Partners understand this process and our validation requirements, we are releasing new versions of the AWS Competency Validation Checklists (VCL). These checklists outline the customer case study and technical criteria needed for APN Technology Partners to achieve the AWS Competency designation.

To receive the AWS Competency designation, APN Partners must undergo rigorous technical validation related to industry-specific technology, as well as an assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their AWS solutions. This validation gives customers complete confidence in choosing APN Partners to team up with. To help APN Technology Partners better understand this process and our validation requirements, we are releasing new versions of the AWS Competency Validation Checklists.

We announced the AWS Container Competency for APN Partners at AWS re:Invent 2018. Launch Partners have built solutions on AWS that improve customers’ abilities to run workloads on containers. To give you an idea how AWS Container Competency Partners are helping customers package and deploy application in a scalable, secure environment, we are excited to share a couple customer stories from APN Partners Aporeto, Dynatrace, and Weaveworks.

Ensuring customers can effectively manage their AWS environments is critical to enabling a successful cloud strategy. Common customer feedback that we hear includes difficulties maintaining control of their AWS environments and managing spend to realize full return on investment. To help customers address these challenges, we are excited to announce the AWS Cloud Management Tools Competency Program.

Launch Partners in the AWS Cloud Management Tools Competency Program have built solutions on AWS that enable customers’ cloud strategies by delivering operations and governance best practices. CMT Competency Partners help customers confidently manage and optimize AWS environments using a “guardrails” approach while continuously monitoring for opportunities to improve efficiency. We are excited to introduce the AWS Networking Competency—a new program for APN Technology Partners that launched at the Global Partner Summit at AWS re:Invent 2017. AWS Networking Competency Partners provide network solutions and assist customers adopt, develop, and deploy applications on AWS. They offer a set of specialized solutions that auto-scale, are aligned with cloud design principles, and make it easier to use networking features in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
