New AWS Solutions Training for Partners: Desktop and Application Streaming
By Andrew Kloman, Partner Solutions Architect at AWS focused on End User Computing
We have two new training opportunities for AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners—Amazon Desktop and Application Streaming for Technical and Business Professionals.
These courses provide the foundational content to improve the proficiency and results of your sales teams and technical delivery consultants when they are assisting customers with desktop and desktop application migration projects.
Current APN Partners focused on Amazon Web Services (AWS) migration services—and new APN Partners with prior virtual desktop practices—often find desktop migration as one of the first areas identified by customers for AWS migration. This is based on impending hardware, software, and compliance deadlines that customers face in the next 6-18 months.
AWS customers are actively looking to engage APN Partners with the business and technical skills to assist them with desktop strategy, planning, and deployments, as well as ongoing managed service options.
According to the Institute of Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA), contingent workers represent 38 percent of the global workforce. There’s a large opportunity for APN Partners to address new use cases for streaming desktops and apps for this variable workforce that were previously too expensive, costly, or complex to implement on-premises.
