In 2017, many APN Partners invested in efforts to enhance their solutions and help customers migrate enterprise desktop applications to AWS. These partners are demonstrating the value of supporting AWS services that provide customers with solutions that are secure, easy-to-use, scalable, and cost-effective. We have high expectations Partners will continue to build and optimize products to run on AWS, and provide high-quality technical content, labs, and workshops to guide customer adoption.

When the U.S. Air Force was looking to automate IT risk management and security compliance of NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments across the enterprise, the turned to Xacta 360—a solution from Telos Corporation, an AWS Advanced Technology Partner and member of the AWS Public Sector Partner Program. Xacta 360 is a risk management and compliance platform specifically engineered to integrate with many AWS services to speed and streamline the continuous compliance assessment of AWS-based workloads

To gain the insights needed to fuel business growth, organizations need to collect more data and do more with it. That’s where a data lake can help—it’s a repository that holds a large amount of raw data in its native (structured or unstructured) format until that data is needed, enabling you to accommodate virtually any use case. At AWS re:Invent 2017, we introduced the AWS Serverless Application Repository that enables AWS customers to easily discover, deploy, and publish serverless apps for data processing, stream processing, Internet of Things (IoT) device data telemetry, and more. The Splunk AWS Serverless Applications are available from the AWS Lambda console and allow customers to ingest TBs of data into Splunk. Check out the Splunk serverless apps that are open-sourced to dive deeper, including the underlying AWS SAM template.

We see many AWS Partners doing great things and innovating on the AWS Cloud. Veeam is bringing backup technology to the cloud; IOpipe helps you get better insight into your AWS Lambda functions; and Narrative Science uses machine learning to generate auto reports from your big data. These are just a few of the innovations being driven by members of the AWS Partner Network (APN), the global partner program for AWS that is focused on helping you build a successful AWS-based business.

Cadence Design Systems, Inc. selected Dome9 Security, an APN Advanced Technology Partner, to provide network security management and automated compliance. The Dome9 Arc platform has a deep visualization tool, Dome9 Clarity, which provides a granular view of customers’ AWS Cloud assets. Dome9’s efforts provide Cadence with many benefits, including lower costs and accelerated time-to-market for products.

The Center for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington D.C. that provides data-driven analysis and evidence-based reporting on global conflict and transnational security issues. Because their analysts must comb through extensive records from different sources, it became increasingly difficult to make use of all the data. ClearScale, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, implemented a large data lake on AWS to make the data more user-friendly for C4ADS analysts.

As the move towards cloud accelerates, unsubstantiated fears about security are inhibiting the use of cloud services by some enterprises. A vital element of a successful cloud migration is understanding shared responsibilities between the organization and cloud service provider. Ixia’s CloudLens has a serverless architecture that scales with distributed software systems built for cloud scale, which delivers intelligent, resilient, and proactive cloud visibility.

AWS Partner Solutions Architects highlight offerings from APN Technology Partners. Cesanta provides streamlined tools that simplify the onboarding process and unblocks developers. GorillaStack enables customers to apply simple rules to managing cloud resources across all AWS accounts and regions. GuardiCore offers the Centra Security Platform to help bridge the gaps of customers’ security configuration in the AWS cloud.
