Ian Brazill is an assistant deputy director with the City of San Diego’s Department of Information Technology and is the program lead for the San Diego Regional Cyber Lab. The lab offers a variety of no-cost cybersecurity resources for the San Diego County region, including access to cybersecurity tools, threat intelligence, regional intergovernmental collaborations, and more. Over the past year he has engaged with representatives from the DxHub in San Luis Obispo, the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence, and local engineers to design and release a production-ready version of My eCISO.
Generative AI as a force for good in facilitating cyber-resiliency in public sector organizations
The Digital Transformation Hub (DxHub) at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo – powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and part of the AWS Cloud Innovation Centers (CIC) program – collaborated with the City of San Diego and the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) to create ‘My eCISO,’ a generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based application that propels public and private organizations on a path to cyber resiliency.
