The Bali State Government’s Communication, Information, and Statistics Agency of Bali (Diskominfos) worked with AWS to develop Bali One Data – a hub for the preparation of quality, accessible, integrated, and shareable data between government agencies at the provincial, regency, and city levels across the entire island of Bali. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bali One Data app, powered by the cloud, has become a critical resource to help the government manage unforeseen circumstances and save lives.

In Indonesia, educational institutions like EdTechs and universities are using the cloud to transform education. By migrating to AWS, these organizations are able to deliver learning resources to millions of users, innovate at scale, and take advantage of the no-cost AWS education programs like AWS Educate and AWS Activate to enhance their curriculums.

This week, AWS released the report, “Unlocking APAC’s Digital Potential: Changing Digital Skill Needs and Policy Approaches.” Prepared by strategy and economics consulting firm AlphaBeta and commissioned by AWS, the report analyzes the digital skills applied by workers in their jobs today and the digital skills required by workforces over the next five years. The report focuses on six Asia Pacific countries: Singapore, Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea.

Telehealth solutions make virtual, real-time interactions between patient and provider possible. These solutions can be beneficial for both patients and care providers, letting patients receive care without having to step into a doctor’s office—a key feature that has benefits for those in hard-to-reach or rural areas and patients with mobility issues. Additionally, these solutions can help reduce physical traffic in hospitals, which is imperative during the pandemic.
