Amazon EC2 is growing our Linux and virtualization division in Seattle, WA and in Dresden, Germany. The Linux and virtualization division is responsible for the operating system and virtualization components that run EC2. These are vital areas of innovation for EC2 and they have a major impact on the way our customers use our service. We are hiring software developers focused on the Linux Kernel, Xen, KVM, Linux distribution creation, and build system implementation. We are also hiring quality assurance engineers, project managers, and engineering managers who are well versed in the Linux and virtualization space.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in Linux software development, preferably in the kernel and virtualization space.

  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to relocate to Seattle, WA or Dresden, Germany.
  • Fluency in English (written as well as verbal).
