AWS IoT Device Tester for AWS IoT Greengrass is a test automation tool for your Linux-based IoT devices. With AWS IoT Device Tester, you can easily perform testing to determine if your devices will run AWS IoT Greengrass and interoperate with AWS IoT services. AWS IoT Device Tester validates if the CPU architecture, Linux kernel configuration, and drivers for your device work with AWS IoT Greengrass. AWS IoT Device Tester for AWS IoT Greengrass gives you the flexibility to self-test AWS IoT Greengrass on your choice of device whenever it’s best for you. You can use AWS IoT Device Tester to verify the device remains compatible with AWS IoT Greengrass throughout its lifecycle such as new releases of AWS IoT Greengrass.
Make testing easy
AWS IoT Device Tester for AWS IoT Greengrass automatically executes a sequence of selected tests, and aggregates and stores the test results. AWS IoT Device Tester sets up the necessary test resources including AWS IoT cloud resources such as AWS IoT Greengrass groups and AWS Lambda function definitions. AWS IoT Device Tester also supports running multiple tests on multiple connected devices concurrently, improving test throughput and reducing testing time.
Passing the AWS IoT Device Tester tests are required for the AWS Device Qualification Program. As part of the AWS Device Qualification Program, your device is listed in the AWS Partner Device Catalog. To learn more about the AWS Device Qualification Program, click here.
How it works
Getting started with AWS IoT Device Tester for AWS IoT Greengrass is easy. You download AWS IoT Device Tester for AWS IoT Greengrass V1 from here or AWS IoT Device Tester for AWS IoT Greengrass V2 from here, configure AWS IoT Device Tester including target device IP address and login credentials, and run the AWS IoT Greengrass tests using the command line interface. AWS IoT Device Tester executes the test cases on the target device and stores the results on your computer. You can review results and resolve any compatibility issues to pass the tests.
