AWS for Nonprofits and NGOs
Using technology to drive mission impact and innovation
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is dedicated to a world where every person has the opportunity to live a life of dignity on a healthy planet. Tens of thousands of nonprofits and non-governmental organizations worldwide use AWS to increase their impact and advance mission goals.
Whether you are working to improve the performance of donor-facing websites, enhancing data practices through managed databases and analytics, propelling research through machine learning, or improving remote monitoring with the Internet of Things (IoT), AWS is here to help.
Grants and mission empowerment
These programs are designed to enable organizations of all sizes to overcome barriers to technology adoption, while enhancing the scale, performance, and capabilities of mission operations.
AWS IMAGINE Grant Program

AWS Nonprofit Credit Program

The AWS Credit Program provides access to $1,000 in AWS Promotional Credits, enabling nonprofits to implement cloud-based solutions and meet their mission goals without upfront investment in physical infrastructure.
Nonprofit Technical Hub

Where your nonprofit is just starting its cloud journey or developing strategies to transform mission delivery, AWS can help you navigate opportunities to skill up, dive deep, and leverage the cloud to increase your reach and impact.
Amazon Research Awards

The Amazon Research Awards (ARA) program collaborates with scientists to fund research, share knowledge, and encourage innovation. ARA offers unrestricted funds and AWS Promotional Credit to support research at nonprofits in areas that advance ground-breaking science.
AWS Disaster Response

The AWS Disaster Response Action Team allows customers to focus on mission-critical functions, while AWS provisions critical data and applications, transports hardware to the base of operations, and implements deployable infrastructure based on customer need.
Open Data on AWS

When data is shared on AWS, anyone can analyze it and build services on top of it using a broad range of compute and data analytics products. Sharing data in the cloud lets data users spend more time on data analysis rather than data acquisition.
