Migrating 300 or more servers is considered a large migration. The people, process, and technology challenges of a large migration project are typically new to most enterprises. This publication set helps you apply the correct strategy and best practices from the outset to streamline your journey to the cloud.
Types of documents
We recommend that you start with the strategies and then read the guides in this series. After you have finished these documents, we recommend that you read the playbooks. Using the playbooks, you build the assets and processes that you use in a large migration, such as runbooks, governing documents, and tools. As you build your runbooks, refer to the patterns for details and examples of how to use specific migration tools and services.
