Posted on: Oct 3, 2019

You can now use AWS DataSync to transfer data into and out of 3 additional AWS Regions: Europe (London), Europe (Paris), and Canada (Central).

DataSync is an online data transfer service that provides you with a simple way to automate and accelerate copying data over the internet or via AWS Direct Connect, between Network File System (NFS) or Server Message Block (SMB) file servers, all 6 Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) storage classes, and Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) file systems. DataSync can migrate active data into and out of AWS, transfer data to the cloud for analysis and processing, or replicate data to AWS for archiving or business continuity.

With this launch, DataSync is now available in 15 AWS Regions: US East (Northern Virginia and Ohio), US West (Northern California and Oregon), Canada (Central), AWS GovCloud (US-West), Europe (London, Paris, Ireland, and Frankfurt), Middle East (Bahrain), and Asia Pacific (Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, and Seoul). To learn more visit the AWS DataSync website or try it out in the AWS Console.
