AWS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Program – MFA Security Key Terms of Use

Last Updated October 29, 2021

This is an agreement between you and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (with its affiliates, “AWS” or “we”). The MFA Security Key Terms of Use and AWS Customer Agreement (available at https://aws.amazon.com/agreement/) (collectively, this “Agreement”) govern your use of the MFA Security Key.

For the purpose of this Agreement:

“MFA Security Key” means any multi-factor authentication device, including those manufactured by Yubico, that we provide you as a Service Offering in connection with the AWS Multi-Factor Authentication (“MFA”) Program. Additional information regarding the AWS MFA Program is available at https://aws.amazon.com/security/amazon-security-initiatives/.

1. Use of an MFA Security Key

a. By using an MFA Security Key, you agree to the conditions, obligations, and restrictions imposed by the manufacturer of the MFA Security Key. Specifically, by using an MFA Security Key manufactured by Yubico, you agree to the Yubico Sale and License Agreement.

b. You acknowledge and understand that an MFA Security Key, including its included software, is cryptographic in nature and that it therefore is highly regulated. You are responsible for complying with all applicable data protection, import, re-import, export, and re-export control laws, including any applicable license requirements, and country-specific sanctions programs.

2. General

Amendments. We may amend any of this Agreement’s terms at our sole discretion by posting the revised terms on the AWS Site. Your continued use of an MFA Security Key after the effective date of the revised Agreement constitutes your acceptance of the terms.
