Secure Cloud Migration

NIB, a trusted health partner supporting 1.7 million members globally, needed to migrate its workloads while maintaining strong security for regulated healthcare data. During migration, NIB worked with AWS Professional Services security experts to build security controls that aligned with business and regulatory requirements. After migrating 95% of workloads to AWS, NIB and AWS Support continue to work in partnership to drive continuous security improvements. This secure foundation has enabled NIB to innovate with confidence that customer data is protected.

NIB, working with AWS Professional Services security experts, successfully migrated 95% of its regulated healthcare workloads to AWS, including core insurance systems and sensitive member data. Enabling secure operations at scale while maintaining compliance for 1.7 million members.

NIB established an ongoing partnership with AWS Support, receiving monthly expert reviews and security reports for governance and risk management. This proactive approach helps NIB maintain strong security controls when launching new products and drives continuous security improvements.

NIB reduced environment setup time from days to minutes using AWS automation. Teams can now quickly create multiple secure and compliant test environments on their own, speeding up development without compromising security standards.

NIB successfully implemented AI across its operations, automating call center tasks and invoice processing in its secure AWS environment. This transformation improved operational efficiency and enhanced service delivery for 1.7 million members.
