PUBG Optimizes Cloud Environment with AWS Enterprise Support

PUBG Corporation (PUBG) is the game developer and publisher behind PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, a multiplayer online battle royale game. Based in Seoul, South Korea, PUBG is a subsidiary of Korean publisher Krafton, which us also comprised of Studio BLUEHOLE and RisingWings. From the beginning, PUBG has been building on Amazon Web Services (AWS). To seamlessly manage the its explosive growth and meet such popularity at a global scale, PUBG’s technology team needed a more robust and secure infrastructure solution. Working with AWS Enterprise Support and using Amazon Infrastructure Event Management (IEM), PUBG developed a greater understanding of optimal storage and database patterns for its real-time online multiplayer game and ultimately chose a scalable solution using Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). By working with AWS Enterprise Support, PUBG conducted the migration in 20 percent of the time initially expected—and with zero issues.
