Simplified Data Protection with Veeam, N2WS and AWS

11:00AM –11:50AM

Moving backups to the cloud and managing data protection between local environments and the cloud can be a challenge. Veeam and N2WS (a Veeam company) allow the protection and portability of data to the AWS cloud with support and recovery from Enterprise-type disasters. In this session, learn how two customers scale their growth in the AWS cloud by leveraging Veeam and N2WS to manage the data protection of thousands of productive EC2 instances with native backups based on snapshots and automatic data life cycles for Amazon S3. We will cover how to back up, restore and protect productive databases and workloads with the N2WS Backup & Recovery solution, as well as the NEW Veeam Availability for AWS.

Barbara Pugliese, Latam Sales Representative, N2WS - A Veeam Company

The Culture of Innovation at Amazon – Driving Customer Success

2:15PM – 3:05PM

Customers often ask us how they can innovate "like Amazon". From its humble beginnings as a startup in a garage, Amazon has not only innovated across e-commerce, but also introduced new, diverse businesses beyond e-commerce. This talk will discuss how Amazon approaches innovation, with its mechanisms, architecture, culture, and organization, with an emphasis on how some of these factors can help other organizations.

Implementing a Hybrid Storage Solution for Your Healthcare Data

2:15PM – 3:05PM

Healthcare providers face a challenge of purchasing, hosting and maintaining storage solutions locally. They have to project future growth and then make large purchases based on that projection, which may turn out to be over or under estimated. After a couple of years, that process repeats by retiring and replacing the storage. All that effort is spent on matters that are not core to the healthcare business. Come learn how you can benefit from AWS Storage Services to store your healthcare data in a secure, resilient and cost-effective way. We will also present other workloads that our healthcare customers are running on AWS, like Big Data, Genome, and Telemedicine.

Paula Jereissati, Partnership Manager of Albert Einstein Hospital and CEO of Escala Healthtech

Getting Started with AWS IoT

3:15PM – 4:05PM

AWS IoT is a managed cloud platform that lets connected devices interact with cloud applications and other devices easily and securely. In this tech talk, we will discuss how constrained devices can leverage AWS IoT to send data to the cloud and receive commands back to the device from the cloud using the protocol of their choice. We will use the AWS IoT Starter Kit to demonstrate building a real connected product, securely connect with AWS IoT using MQTT, WebSockets, and HTTP protocols, and show how developers and businesses can leverage features of AWS IoT like Device Shadows and the Rules Engine, which provides message processing and integration with other AWS services.
