Jeff Barr is Chief Web Services Evangelist at Amazon Web Services, where he is focused on furthering awareness among software developers of the opportunity to innovate and build businesses using Amazon Web Services. In this role, Jeff travels, speaks, blogs, and maintains an active social media presence. He has held development and management positions at Microsoft, KnowNow, eByz, and Akopia and was a co-founder of Visix Software. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in computer science from American University and a Master’s degree in Communication and Digital Media the University of Washington. Jeff has written over 2500 posts for the AWS Blog, has been a technical reviewer for 4 books on web services, and is the author of Host Your Website in the Cloud.
Guy Ernest is focused on bringing machine learning, deep learning and other big data analytics capabilities to the hands of Amazon Web Services customers, in simple-to-use and scalable ways. Guy started his career in the IDF in R&D positions around practical solutions to image recognition and natural language understanding, and continued to start up a personalization company. Since joining AWS, Guy was managing the technical solutions architects team in Israel, before he moved to the USA, to be the solutions architect of Amazon.com, and recently to manage business development of machine learning in AWS.
