Connected Mobility Solution on AWS simplifies deployment and integrates with AWS IoT FleetWise for intelligent data collection

Today, AWS released an update to Connected Mobility Solution on AWS (CMS on AWS), which helps you establish the components of a well-architected connected vehicle program. You can find CMS on AWS in the AWS Solutions Library. This update includes two new features, including (1) an integration with AWS IoT FleetWise, which makes it easier for customers to select and more efficiently collect vehicle data and organize it in the cloud, and (2) a simplified deployment of CMS on AWS. CMS on AWS is a well-architected connected mobility offering to help accelerate a customer’s development and deployment of connected vehicle features, and includes purpose-built accelerators and an Automotive Cloud Developer Portal (ACDP).

The integration of CMS on AWS with AWS IoT FleetWise lets customers launch targeted campaigns for vehicle fleets, allowing them to more easily focus on intelligent data collection for use cases like electric vehicle battery health, maintenance schedules, and fuel consumption analysis. This strategic approach can help customers enhance vehicle quality, performance, and autonomy. In addition, the AWS IoT FleetWise integration helps facilitate a more seamless connection of data to analytical tools, helping enable customers to launch event-based alerts, and the use of other connected vehicle accelerators. The update has streamlined the deployment process for CMS on AWS as well. Now, with just a click, users can deploy the ACDP in their account. Also, module deployment has been simplified using AWS CloudFormation, which helps speed up cloud provisioning with infrastructure as code, offering an alternative to AWS Proton, a deployment workflow tool, for a more user-friendly experience.
