Chaos engineering, often misunderstood as intentionally breaking the production environment, aligns with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Well-Architected Reliability pillar. Its purpose is to methodically simulate real-world disruptions in a controlled manner, spanning service providers, infrastructure, workloads, and individual components.
