Amazon Connect achieves FedRAMP High authorization
AWS announced that Amazon Connect, its omnichannel cloud contact center service, has achieved FedRAMP Authorized status at the High Impact Level. FedRAMP is a US government-wide program that promotes the adoption of secure cloud services across the federal government by providing a standardized approach to security and risk assessment, and continuous monitoring for cloud technologies and federal agencies. Enabling secure mission success with Wickr RAM in Department of Defense Cloud One
AWS announced the availability of Wickr RAM (Recall, Alert and Messaging) to the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) through Cloud One, which is a cloud hosting infrastructure and service. Wickr RAM is an end-to-end encrypted full suite collaboration application built for the warfighter. It is available on AWS GovCloud (US) and can support workloads up to Impact Level 5.
AWS announces the 10 startups selected for the 2022 AWS Space Accelerator

AWS launches first AWS Innovation Studio to collaborate on global solutions with mission-driven organizations at HQ2 in Arlington, VA
Soon to be located at Amazon’s Arlington, Virginia Headquarters (HQ2), the AWS Innovation Studio will serve as a center for scaling the impact our customers can have on improving the communities in which we live, work, and learn. Together, public sector organizations, policy makers, citizens, industry leaders, and academia will collaborate with Amazon experts at the AWS Innovation Studio to find new ways to address some of the world’s most pressing societal issues such as housing insecurity, climate change, sustainability, and education inequality.
Announcing the 10 finalists for the inaugural AWS Healthcare Accelerator program
We are excited to announce the selection of the 10 finalists and participants for the first ever AWS Healthcare Accelerator. These ten companies were selected from 427 applications from 31 countries around the world by a panel from AWS and KidsX. The first ever AWS Healthcare Accelerator cohort represents a diverse group of healthcare solutions backed by diverse leadership, with 90 percent of the cohort having diversity of leadership and 70 percent being female founded. These 10 finalists are working to solve many of the strategic imperatives of AWS healthcare customers.
AWS opens data centre design facility in Croatia
AWS will open a new data centre design facility in Zagreb, Croatia. The new facility is part of AWS’s ongoing commitment to Croatia, which also includes team expansion to support the growing number of customers and Partners. The new centre will support development and operation of AWS Cloud services, with a focus on data centre design, product development, and research.
