A Texas regional education service center’s cloud journey starts with Amazon QuickSight
Texas Region 4 ESC (TX-Region 4) is a regional education service center that offers a range of services that help K12 education organizations improve student performance, enable faculty success, and implement state initiatives. When TX-Region 4 wanted to migrate its business intelligence (BI) solution to the cloud, they turned to AWS and Amazon QuickSight to save time and produce more insights to better their educational offerings.
Texas launches statewide effort to upskill and reskill workforce with AWS
In this challenging job market, many Texans who lost their jobs to COVID-19 lack the skills to quickly reenter the workforce to secure employment with employers with open roles. With support from the Texas State Legislature, the Texas Association of Community Colleges (TACC) and AWS announced a statewide collaboration committed to equipping Texas community colleges with professional development, technical training, and certification exams for those educators, instructors, and faculty who will begin implementing the AWS Academy program starting next fall.
Partnership of the year awarded to Virginia schools and AWS Educate for creating Cloud Degree Programs
Education Dive announced George Mason University (GMU), Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), and AWS Educate earned the Higher Ed “Partnership of the Year” award for collaborating to launch a two and four-year cloud degree pathway. Education Dive, a digital publication for the education industry, gives out the annual Dive Awards to the industry’s top innovators for their efforts to shape the future of education.
