New courses and certification updates from AWS Training and Certification in October 2025

This month, we launched seven new digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including AWS Jam Beta Gen AI Event Creator, six new AWS Builder Labs, and major certification enhancements—highlighted by the introduction of the AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional certification and a refreshed AWS Certified Security – Specialty exam with expanded AI security coverage.
New AWS Skill Builder subscription features
AWS Skill Builder subscriptions are available globally and unlock enhanced AWS Certification exam prep and hands-on AWS Cloud training including interactive learning and lab experiences like AWS Cloud Quest, AWS Industry Quest, AWS Builder Labs, and AWS Jam challenges. AWS Digital Classroom courses dive deep with expert instruction and are available with Individual annual subscription and Team subscription.

Introducing AWS Jam Beta Gen AI Event Creator! AWS Jam has reduced the complexity around event creation by leveraging generative AI. Event Facilitators can now create their own events without needing in-depth knowledge of how Jam works and can rely on AI to build the appropriate content for their event by answering simple questions. AWS Certification exam preparation and updates
Certification
Big news from AWS Certification! Introducing AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional! Validate your ability to build production-ready AI solutions using foundation models, RAG architectures, and vector databases. Ideal for experienced developers ready to demonstrate their expertise in creating secure, scalable AI applications that deliver real business value. Beta participants will receive a special Early Adopter badge when they pass the exam! Registration for the beta exam opens on November 18, 2025. The beta exam is 204 minutes and consists of 85 questions. We encourage you to please visit the test day policies page for helpful information regarding testing rules, including breaks, to ensure you are prepared for this comprehensive exam.
Additionally, we’re making updates to the AWS Certified Security – Specialty exam to include a greater focus on generative AI and machine learning security. We’ve also announced the upcoming retirement of the AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty and shared resources to help you continue your AI/ML training and certification journey. AWS Classroom Training
AWS Classroom Training offers live classes with instructors who teach you in-demand cloud skills and best practices using a mix of presentations, discussion, and hands-on labs. This month we launched a new class, Data Engineering on AWS, and a major update to Developing Generative AI Applications on AWS, incorporating the new functionality of Amazon Bedrock including Guardrails, RAG, and Agents.
