Netflix Catalogs Objects Across Hybrid Cloud Storage Systems
In this re:Invent 2022 session, learn how Netflix uses a hybrid cloud storage solution that combines Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on-premises storage. Building on Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) to store and move assets across its systems, along with AWS Local Zones, Netflix can then track assets using object stores and file systems, and dive into namespaces, access control, support for part-level addressability for multipart objects, and lifecycle management. Using AWS helps Netflix provide decentralized data storage with centralized control and management of that data, along with a robust data catalog and the flexibility needed to meet storage demands.
