Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel company with more than 9,000 properties spanning 86 countries, has been building on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for about 4 years. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wyndham quickly moved its global workforce off-campus while building new solutions for its guests, such as its mobile app and Instant Hold feature. “Having things in the cloud means that our developers could access them from anywhere,” says Wyndham EVP & CIO Scott Strickland. “AWS provides the tools, people, and services to allow us to be resilient regardless of business conditions.
