Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) clusters running in the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions are now compliant with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High baseline.
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) is a managed
Kubernetes service that makes it easy for you to run Kubernetes on AWS without needing to install, operate, and maintain your own Kubernetes cluster. Amazon EKS is certified Kubernetes conformant, so you can leverage all benefits of open source tooling from the community and you can easily migrate existing Kubernetes applications running on upstream Kubernetes to EKS without needing to refactor your code.
With FedRAMP-High compliance, customers that operate under FedRAMP guidelines can use Amazon EKS to run their Kubernetes clusters in both AWS GovCloud (US) regions using the Amazon EC2 compute type.
