Learn about the new resources for APN Partners that have been developed for remote learning. This includes free virtual and on-demand trainings and online webinar series, as well as online AWS Certification exams and readiness workshops.

AWS Immersion Day workshops are day-long, in-person workshop that AWS Solutions Architects created to help customers learn how to best leverage the AWS platform to unlock business potential and meet key objectives. With APN Immersion Days, we are providing APN Partners with a repeatable model, reusable content, and automated tools that will help APN Partners deliver successful technical workshops for their customers.

Companies all across the world and in virtually every industry need cloud expertise to help them transform their business. This is where the skill, expertise, and knowledge of APN Partners makes a difference for customers. AWS Training and Certification offers free training for APN Partners, as well as AWS Certification resources designed to specifically help partners build crucial skills while achieving and maintaining APN Partner tier status.

AWS Training and Certification now offers the chance to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam at your home or office 24/7. The exam can be delivered online and supervised—or proctored—through a webcam. Candidates will need a quiet, private location with a reliable internet connection and only one person to a room at a time. Online proctored exams are currently available in English only. Candidates may choose online proctoring where exams are currently available, except for China, South Korea, and Japan.

We are excited to announce the launch of AWS re/Start in the U.S. after a two-year pilot in the United Kingdom. AWS re/Start is a full-time, classroom-based skills development and training program designed to prepare individuals to launch new careers in cloud computing. Cohorts of 25 students in Atlanta, Dallas, and Miami are finishing up their course of study and will be ready for employment before the end of August 2019.

We understand how important it is to easily find the AWS Training and Certification courses and schedules that are important to you. Our new training website for APN Partners provides added visibility into regional course schedules and the ability to customize your partner learning path. The new website has been completely redesigned with enhanced look, feel, navigation, and content. New sections have been added to show all training options and modalities, recommended courses, and benefits.

With Amazon Lightsail, we set out to help those who are just getting started in the cloud. Whether you’re trying to build simple workloads or quick deployments, Lightsail offers everything you need to jumpstart your project on AWS. Linux Academy has launched the first comprehensive, lab-based Lightsail training developed by an APN Partner. Linux Academy provides self-paced courses, hand-on server labs, personal access to expert instructors, and an ever-growing learning library.

The AWS Training and Certification team is hosting a beta for an updated version of our AWS Certified Developer – Associate exam. This beta reflects current AWS features, services, and best practices. You may take the beta exam through March 16. Space is limited and registration will close when capacity is reached. We are offering the beta exam for $75 USD—a 50 percent discount off the cost of the standard Developer exam.

We have updated our AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam to include new services and architectural best practices, including the pillars of the Well-Architected Framework. The new exam validates knowledge of how to architect and deploy secure and robust applications on AWS technologies. We recommend candidates have at least one year of hands-on experience designing available, cost-efficient, fault-tolerant, scalable, and distributed systems on AWS before taking the exam.

This month, we are highlighting some of the newest Partner Training courses, including training for both business and technical professionals. Browse our digital training catalog at aws.training and get access to 100+ free digital courses. They are generally 10 minutes long and designed to help build foundational knowledge for dozens of AWS services and solutions. Partner Central credentials are required to access these courses.
