Partners Can Take the New AWS Service Catalog Accreditation
We are excited to announce that AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners can take the new AWS Service Catalog Accreditation.
You can take the accreditation in-person at AWS Global Summits. Register for sessions here:
- San Francisco – July 30, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Chicago – August 3, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Please note these sessions do not include an in-depth training, so the expectation is that participants are knowledgeable about AWS Management Tools, specifically AWS Service Catalog.
About the Accreditation
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a set of management tools that allows you to programmatically provision, monitor, and automate all the components of your cloud environment. Using these tools, you can maintain consistent controls without restricting development velocity.
The AWS Service Catalog Accreditation is the first in the AWS Management Tools series and provides individual consultants with an APN Partner organization with the necessary validation to advise customers on provisioning governance in the AWS cloud. Consultants, System Integrators (SIs), and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) will learn how to implement and manage the full lifecycle of cloud assets, simplifying and accelerating cloud adoption by focusing on AWS Service Catalog.
This accreditation consists of an assessment test and required lab. The test will be a selection of 40 random questions that cover the following topics: Management and Access Control, Security Controls, Monitoring and Resilience, and Cost Control. The lab will be based on a common customer use-case scenario.
Who Should Get the Accreditation?
The AWS Service Catalog Accreditation is targeted at the following roles looking to differentiate themselves as AWS Cloud Management experts:
- AWS Solution Architect – Associate Level
- AWS Solution Architect – Professional Level
- Professional Services Consultant
Prerequisites
We recommend consultants have previous hands-on experience with AWS Service Catalog along with an understanding of AWS Management Tools. Moreover, it is highly recommended that consultants have successfully completed the AWS Associate Certification to provide enough background training around the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
