To help customers looking for support from MSSPs, we created a new baseline standard of quality called Level 1 Managed Security Services. The new AWS Level 1 MSSP Competency designation features AWS Partners that have had their technical and operational capabilities successfully validated against this baseline.

While AWS Outposts enables customers to easily scale their on-premises applications using AWS services and tools, integrating with customer-owned, third-party solutions for storage, security, analytics, and DevOps is important to ensuring positive customer outcomes. Earlier this year, we launched the AWS Outposts Ready Program with 35 solution offerings across 32 AWS Technology Partners. AWS Premier Partner Apps Associates, an industry leader for migrating and managing Oracle workloads to the cloud, recently conducted an independent survey of more than 300 Oracle application customers to uncover what’s holding IT decision makers (ITDMs) back from moving their Oracle apps to the cloud. The study uncovered several myths that many ITDMs still believe to be true, although many of these myths have since been debunked—not by declaration but by repeatable, proven success.

Cloud Insight Essentials is an Alert Logic solution available in AWS Marketplace. It is a vulnerability assessment solution allowing customers to find risky configurations that go against AWS Security Best Practices. The solution does this by analyzing AWS APIs and scanning AWS CloudTrail events looking for unsafe configurations. Cloud Insight Essentials also provides security context for the complete list of Amazon GuardDuty findings so customers can take short- and long-term actions to reduce potential security threats.
