Scheduling Provisioning and Termination of Amazon EMR Clusters with AWS Service Catalog Connector for ServiceNow

Scheduling when to provision Amazon EMR clusters allows data scientists to run analytics workloads at their own schedule. Scheduling when to terminate clusters allows them to run analytics workloads only when they need them. Here, we demonstrates how to automatically schedule provisioning and termination of EMR clusters by utilizing AWS Service Catalog Connector for ServiceNow. The capability discussed in this post can also be extended to other AWS services.

AWS re/Start Creates New Career Paths in Cloud Computing for Non-Traditional Job Candidates

We are excited to announce the launch of AWS re/Start in the U.S. after a two-year pilot in the United Kingdom. AWS re/Start is a full-time, classroom-based skills development and training program designed to prepare individuals to launch new careers in cloud computing. Cohorts of 25 students in Atlanta, Dallas, and Miami are finishing up their course of study and will be ready for employment before the end of August 2019.

Be amongst the first businesses in the AWS Partner Network (APN) to receive a branded APN Partner Plaque showcasing your company name and APN Partner status. To receive the APN Partner Plaque, your company must meet the new APN tier requirements at your current tier, or upgrade to the next APN tier prior to December 31, 2019. If you are a registered APN member, you can earn the plaque by becoming an official APN Partner—that is, Consulting and Technology Partners at the Select tier or higher.
