AWS EdStart Goes to South America to Bring Resources to EdTechs

Today, at the AWS São Paulo Summit, we announced that AWS EdStart, the AWS educational technology (EdTech) startup accelerator that helps startup EdTech companies build teaching and learning solutions on the AWS Cloud, is now available to customers in Brazil. Brazil is the first country in Latin America and second in the Western Hemisphere to offer the AWS EdTech-focused program to customers.

AWS is committed to helping entrepreneurs build the next generation of online learning, analytics, and campus management solutions on the AWS Cloud. The global focus for AWS EdStart will enable EdTech startups from around the world to move faster by providing AWS Promotional Credits, community engagement, customized trainings, joint marketing opportunities, technical support, and access to the same scalable technology used by established companies.

Since launching AWS EdStart in the U.S. in early 2017, the program has been used to help customers revolutionize the education industry in 34 countries.

Hear directly from our members:

  • “There are a number of challenges EdTech startups face, ranging from business to technical infrastructure. AWS EdStart program gives us a head start by providing insights and technical expertise so that we can focus more on product innovation. It’s great that Amazon as a company cares deeply about education and invests resources to help growing startups like us scale faster and scale our impact,” said Katie Fang, Founder and CEO at SchooLinks.
  •  “AWS EdStart is a haven for startups in the education sector, like Unibui, to connect and build long-lasting relationships. Beyond the immediate benefits provided at no cost to early stage companies (credits, cloud support, and resources), AWS Edstart has been a place where we found a family – dedicated to helping their members have the best success in the Amazon jungle and beyond,” said Payom Niazmandi, CEO, Unibui.

With the expansion of AWS EdStart into Brazil, a new class of EdTechs will be able to experience the benefits of AWS EdStart first hand. Learn more about AWS EdStart today.
