We are retiring three specialty AWS Certifications in April 2024: AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Database – Specialty, and AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty. Additionally, we are launching the AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate certification, available to take March 12, 2024.

Artificial intelligence (AI) itself may not be new, but the field was thrown into a new level of overdrive in late 2022 when the launch of ChatGPT brought generative AI and large language models (LLMs) quickly and irrevocably into the public’s consciousness. Registration is now open for the AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate beta exam. This exam is available to take between November 27, 2023 and January 12, 2024, at the discounted price of USD 75. Registration for the standard version of this exam opens March 2024, and the standard version will be available to take starting April 2024. Along with the launch of this new Associate-level certification, we will be retiring AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty on April 9, 2024.

In October, we launched 13 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including a new learning plan and digital badge for Migration, a new AWS Jam Journey for Game Serverless and Analytics, a free digital course to build generative AI skills with Amazon Bedrock, and a new 12-month, prescriptive virtual training program to build job-ready cloud developer skills called AWS Cloud Institute. And, AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner is now available in Japanese.

In July, we released 52 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including AWS Industry Quest: Healthcare, AWS Cloud Quest: Networking, 19 AWS Builder Labs, and new exam prep for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional. For c-suite executives, explore courses to help you build knowledge of the capabilities of cloud. We also have two new trainings exclusive to AWS Partners in sales roles.

AWS Training and Certification and AWS Enterprise Strategists have developed a collection of digital training to provide a high-level picture of the benefits of cloud computing to c-suite leaders and executives in business or technology roles. These short, snackable videos feature AWS Enterprise Strategists Jake Burns, Chris Hennessy, and Clarke Rodgers guiding leaders through the must-know information to build their business with cloud.

In May and June 2023, we released 5 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including a sustainability course, a new AWS Builder Lab to configure VPC Traffic Monitoring, an updated AWS Certified Security – Specialty Official Practice Exam, and AWS Cloud Quest Tournaments.
