Remote Communication & Collaboration

Secure Content Collaboration
Amazon WorkDocs makes it easy to collaborate with others from anywhere and lets you easily share content, provide rich feedback, and collaboratively edit documents. Secure and Scalable Remote Network Access
AWS Client VPN is a fully-managed, pay-as-you-go VPN service that elastically scales to support thousands of remote users. Client VPN is designed so your employees can access any company resource, both within AWS and on premises, from any location, with one console to manage all connections. You can create Client VPN endpoints, associate them with VPC subnets, and set up authorization rules so your users can access the resources they need – whether using laptops or mobile devices.
Security from anywhere
Security at AWS starts with our core infrastructure. Custom-built for the cloud and designed to meet the most stringent security requirements in the world, our infrastructure is monitored 24/7 to help ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data. You can rely on the AWS global infrastructure, knowing you always control your data, including the ability to encrypt it, move it, and manage retention at any time, whether you are in the office or at home.
Easily scale to meet unpredictable demand
The AWS Global Infrastructure enables companies to be extremely flexible and take advantage of the virtually infinite scalability of the cloud. With AWS, you don’t have to over-provision resources up front to handle peak levels of business activity in the future. Instead, you provision the amount of resources that you actually need. Scale your usage up or down to any size, onboarding tens of thousands of employees, students, or contact center agents in response to normal business cycles or unplanned events.

The American Red Cross quickly set up an Amazon Connect contact center to scale their call center support during Hurricane Harvey. They were able to set up a new call center within 48 hours rather than waiting several months with traditional call center approaches. Not only were they able address this immediate need, but they were able to leverage intelligent, modern contact center approaches with Amazon Connect’s skills-based routing, real-time and historical analytics, and AI-powered call sentiment analysis.
MAXIMUS partners with state, federal, and local governments to provide communities with critical health and human service programs. MAXIMUS used Amazon WorkSpaces and SynchroNet CLICK to replace their on-premises VDI infrastructure, empower their remote employees, and accelerate their adoption to the cloud.
Direct Interactions, a leader in work-at-home contact centers, relies on Amazon Connect to route calls to their remote workforce. Jonas Nicholson, Direct Interactions’ CEO, shared that "When working from home is the only option, Amazon Connect performs even when the kids are gaming or streaming Netflix on the same home network. Our previous providers used a licensing model which discouraged our team from letting our agents work less hours. Amazon Connect pay-as-you-go pricing allows us to add new agents simply by creating new users in the Amazon Connect console and it helps us save money by doing so.
With Amazon Connect the toughest part of onboarding new agents is the client content, systems training only takes less than 20 minutes. Our agents have found Amazon Connect to be extremely easy to use, and enables them to be productive within their at home environment. Amazon Connect has been the best thing that could happen to our business. Our agents are happier with the flexibility of their work, we’re glad to give our agents the opportunity to be comfortable in their work environment, and we’ve seen a dramatic decrease in agent churn.”
“Over the last 10 years, GIS technology evolved from simple desktop apps to powerful GPU based applications with 3D rendering. Today many customers are moving their infrastructure to the cloud, but still run applications like ArcGIS Pro on local computers. This creates two problems for them. First, our customers are mobile and need to work from anywhere. But with GPU based applications becoming the norm, they need to purchase, manage, and operate powerful desktop workstations that aren't mobile. Second, they're spend increasing amounts of time moving 3D GIS data to and from their workstations and the cloud. AppStream 2.0 solves both of these problems. AppStream 2.0 lets our customers work without workstations. They simply manage their applications on AppStream 2.0 and stream them to a browser on their laptop. Also, AppStream 2.0 helps accelerate our customers' GIS workflows. Because AppStream 2.0 runs on AWS, it provides a direct connection to our customers GIS data and infrastructure in cloud.”
