AWS Amplify now supports AI-powered chatbots with Amazon Lex

Posted on: Jun 27, 2018

AWS Amplify library announces a new service integration which enables conversational bots in JavaScript apps by utilizing the same deep learning technologies that power Amazon Alexa.

Developers can now use AWS Amplify's new Interactions category to configure authorization for Amazon Lex and to integrate a chatbot UI into their web or mobile app with just a single line of code. AWS Amplify's conversational UI component renders a complete chat messaging interface that can be used out-of-the-box, or it can be customized using theming support and provided high-level APIs.

The UI component is available with React and React Native front-end libraries. Developers can also enhance their conversational chatbots by adding more features using AWS Amplify's rich selection of capabilities such as authorization, analytics, user storage, cloud API, real-time data and offline support with service workers.
