To date, 1Wrk has launched more than 150 GCCs, facilitated over 150,000 hires, and enabled $2 billion in global investment—processing over 35,000 job applications daily, all with the reliability and scalability of AWS as its foundation.

From zero to GCC hero

Designed for speed and clarity, 1Wrk replaces complexity with a fully templatized, pre-integrated model. From the start, 1Wrk has been built entirely on AWS. The team has collaborated with AWS for over five years, running every environment—development, testing, and production—on a fully cloud-native foundation.

As demand increased, 1Wrk rearchitected its backend.  “We moved from a monolith to an event-driven architecture because AWS had the backbone to support it,” says Sharma. Powered by Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), and Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), this design enables real-time responsiveness, independent scaling, and fault isolation. Sharma adds, “AWS wasn’t just a tech choice—it was a requirement.”

Fast hires, no wires

For many organizations, hiring at scale can be time-consuming. 1Wrk is helping customers address this challenge by embedding AI and automation into its platform. Built on Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker, the solution automates resume parsing, candidate scoring, and job-fit matching, helping recruiters reduce time-to-hire by up to 50 percent.

“Generative AI isn’t just an add-on, it’s part of our core,” says Sharma. “Every interaction in the product is powered by models that help our clients make better decisions faster.” With tools like Talent500 and 1Recruit, companies access a talent pool of over 2.5 million vetted professionals, while automating shortlisting, interviews, and selections.

One portal, no ping-pong

Once a candidate is hired, 1Wrk keeps the momentum going. Its 1Hub module—built with ServiceNow—manages onboarding, asset provisioning, payroll, expenses, and compliance through one centralized platform. HR and IT teams gain full visibility into every task and SLA, and what once required multiple systems and manual follow-ups now runs through a streamlined, trackable workflow.

1Wrk is also extending generative AI capabilities into post-hire operations—helping automate responses, summarize requests, and assist employees in real time.
