New benefits for AWS Managed Services Partners
By Ben Reed, Global MSP Program Leader – AWS
Managed services are a key driver of customer and Partner success—with worldwide spending on managed cloud services set to reach $220.5B by 2029¹.
We’re announcing new benefits for AWS Managed Services Provider (MSP) Partners in 2026. These enhancements help MSP Partners efficiently scale their Amazon Web Services (AWS) practice and deliver exceptional outcomes across strategic areas, like generative AI, security, modernization, and more.
MSPs deliver expertise when organizations cannot find or afford dedicated cloud specialists. Fifty-two percent of customers indicate a need for managed services in their partner procurement process (Canalys, a part of Omdia). These updates provide an opportunity for Partners to build or expand their capabilities in managed services to meet customer demand.
“At AWS, we recognize the tremendous value that MSPs bring to our customers and the broader cloud industry,” said Julia Chen, Vice President of Specialists and Partner Core at AWS. “By investing in MSPs’ capabilities we’re not just delivering higher customer value—we’re proactively enabling our Partners to become trusted advisors, grow their businesses, and deliver business outcomes ongoing, particularly with AI and security embedded.”
New MSP Program benefits
To support Partners expanding their AWS managed services capabilities, we’re introducing the following benefits, available January 1, 2026:

- MSP Incentive for Strategic Services: rewards MSP Partners who help customers innovate and enhance their cloud capabilities through specific strategic AWS services.
