To help you prepare for AWS re:Invent 2018, we’ve rounded up a number of things to check out while you are in Las Vegas. Please join us for the Global Partner Summit, which provides APN Partners with opportunities to connect, collaborate, and discover. You’ll learn how to leverage AWS technologies to serve your customers, and how the APN program can help build and grow your business. This year, GPS sessions will take place throughout the week across the entire re:Invent campus.

AWS supports Oracle databases and applications, offering businesses solutions for migrating, deploying, and managing their Oracle workloads on AWS. Customers can launch entire enterprise software stacks from Oracle on AWS, and they can build enterprise-grade Oracle applications using database and middleware software from Oracle. Here are two Oracle workload solutions from clckwrk, an AWS Oracle Competency Partner.

Flexible Payment Scheduler enhances Seller Private Offers by enabling software sellers to offer custom payment schedules to customers in AWS Marketplace. After negotiating the price and quantity with a customer, ISVs can now specify a custom schedule of payments, with up to 36 installments over three years. Flexible Payment Scheduler helps ISVs increase their sales velocity, sales volume, and transaction size by making it easier for their customers to purchase software.

A multi-company team led by ARRAY delivered for the U.S. Air Force a successful modernization of a COBOL-based system running on aged mainframes to a Java-based system running on x86 Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). AWS provides the system’s capabilities for reliability, scalability, and this post describes the objectives, approach, solution, lessons, and customer benefits realized from this experience.

We recently hosted our first-ever APN Digital Summit with 20 sessions covering seven different AWS service areas. The all-day virtual summit gave APN Partners the chance to dive deep in areas without having to leave their office. We also hosted a virtual GameDay for APN Partners to apply their knowledge of the services covered during the session tracks. The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify and choose the world’s top APN Partners that have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas. Spring Venture Group reached out to APN Premier Partner Logicworks to architect and manage their AWS deployment. Their developers were comfortable building and deploying containers in their on-premises environment, but were eager to get greater agility and flexibility on AWS. Running AWS Service Catalog and Amazon ECS has created a reliable, stable deployment pipeline, resulting in hundreds of hours saved for their engineering team each month.

Many customers prefer to purchase software solutions through Consulting Partners, benefiting from their knowledge of the customer’s business, localized support, and expertise. This new feature enables Consulting Partners to work with more than 1,400 ISVs and expand the ways customers can purchase software in AWS Marketplace. Consulting Partners can now work with customers from the start of their procurement process all the way to purchase.
