Ensuring that proper security measures are in place calls for robust security testing mechanisms. GuardiCore’s Infection Monkey is an open source Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) tool that tests and evaluates the effectiveness of your network security configurations during post-breach attacks. You can simulate a breach by “infecting” a server with a “Monkey” that runs around your network using various methods to enter propagation paths and attacks each point of vulnerability it discovers.

The AWS Competency Program admitted 26 new APN Partners in April—spanning workload, solution, and industry designations. The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify and choose top APN Partners that have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas. This validation gives customers complete confidence in choosing APN Partner solutions from the tens of thousands in the AWS Partner Network.

We are excited to share three new how-to guides featuring best practices for creating and uploading architecture diagrams, case studies and customer references, and microsites. Each guide provides clear benefits to Partners for building these assets and explains why the APN asks for them in applications for AWS Service Delivery, AWS Competency, and AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Programs. The how-to guides also detail how the APN uses Partner-submitted documentation and gives a few examples approved by the APN.

Siemens is Europe’s largest industrial manufacturing company and recently leveraged its MindSphere IoT platform to connect production machines at a factory in Monterrey, Mexico, to the AWS cloud in less than eight weeks, which will help it to double efficiency. AWS announced at Hannover Messe 2018 that Siemens PLM, a business unit of the Siemens Digital Factory Division, is a pre-qualified launch partner in the AWS Industrial Software Competency Program, which launches later in 2018.

At Hannover Messe 2018, the world’s largest trade show for industrial technology, we announced the AWS Industrial Software Competency Program will launch later in 2018 and help customers find highly qualified APN Partners to effectively solve their business challenges. Hannover Messe features insights from industrial thought leaders, as well as AWS product announcements in the Industrial IoT and Machine Learning spaces.

When one of Australia’s largest general insurers, Insurance & Care NSW (icare), was looking for an urgent solution to relieve pressure on their constrained internal network and Internet links, they turned to Cloudten Industries, an APN Advanced Consulting Partner with the AWS Government Competency. Cloudten helped alleviate the load on icare’s internal network while allowing the business to meet its project deadlines for Office 365 migration.

To help businesses gather feedback and understand the impacts they’ve had on AWS customers, we launched a “Rate this Partner” button in the AWS Partner Solutions Finder last year. The APN Customer Satisfaction program (CSAT) provides Partners with meaningful data that you can use to better understand your customers. Ask your APN representative if you have customer reviews already, and note that to unlock APN CSAT data you must have received at least 10 Customer Reviews.

For APN Partners helping customers migrate, manage, or deploy Microsoft Workloads to AWS, we are introducing an Application Modernization category within the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency, as well as the Amazon EC2 for Windows Service Delivery designation. Through our Microsoft Workloads Partners’ investment in developing a Windows on AWS practice, we know customers will have an exceptional experience and the most efficient deployment running Windows applications on AWS.

The new AWS Solution Provider Program is designed for APN Consulting Partners to resell authorized services to end customers. Authorized Solution Providers benefit from a tiered discount structure that rewards APN Partners for their technical investments on AWS and their ability to bring in new business. This program enables Authorized Solution Providers to manage, service, support, and bill AWS accounts for end customers, and enables end customers to have their own terms with AWS.

As SaaS organizations grow and begin to extend their global reach, they must consider how their larger geographic footprint will shape and influence the architecture of their systems.
