In October, we launched 13 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including a new learning plan and digital badge for Migration, a new AWS Jam Journey for Game Serverless and Analytics, a free digital course to build generative AI skills with Amazon Bedrock, and a new 12-month, prescriptive virtual training program to build job-ready cloud developer skills called AWS Cloud Institute. And, AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner is now available in Japanese.

AWS Jam is a practical, gamified learning experience that challenges individuals or teams to build and apply their AWS Cloud skills to solve real-world, open-ended problems using AWS services in a sandbox AWS environment. If you are an AWS builder, you’ve likely heard about Amazon CodeWhisperer, an artificial intelligence (AI) coding companion that is trained on billions of lines of code and can generate code suggestions so you can build applications faster and more securely. We’re excited to bring these two things together, giving builders a new way to learn how to use Amazon CodeWhisperer and increase their productivity.

AWS Solutions-Focused Immersion Days are a series of events that are designed to educate you about AWS products and services and help you develop the skills needed to build, deploy, and operate your infrastructure and applications in the cloud. Hands on labs provide you with an immersive experience in the AWS console, guided by AWS Solutions Architects and subject matter experts. We’ve released 19 new AWS Builder Labs this month, specifically geared to help individuals in developer, cloud architect, cloud engineer, and cloud administrator roles reinforce their learning across various topics including Containers, Developing, Serverless, Networking, Security and AWS Well-Architected Framework.

To succeed in Industry 4.0, companies need to upskill and reskill their workers to maximize the benefits of disruptive technologies, in particular individuals who have traditionally focused on operational technology (OT) domains, such as plant managers, product managers, engineers, and architects. We’ll share five steps and associated resources for individuals in these roles to learn about AWS Cloud and AWS IoT services to skill up for Industry 4.0.

Advancing Women in Tech (AWIT) is a non-profit organization that aims at addressing this gap by providing upskilling avenues and increasing the availability of women tech leaders as mentors. During AWS Storage Day 2022, the AWS Storage team announced three new digital learning badges by AWS Training and Certification on AWS Skill Builder, including the AWS Learning: Data Migration badge. This badge, which is associated with the Storage Learning Plan: Data Migration, demonstrates an individual’s knowledge of AWS Storage services for creating, managing, and architecting highly available storage solutions.
